Network Resilience Manager, Transport Scotland

Iain McDonald is Network Resilience Manager at Transport Scotland, leading on the delivery of Winter Service Operations on the Scottish Trunk Road Network. With in excess of 30 years in the transport sector, Iain has been involved in Transport Scotland's operating company contracts since their inception - specialising in traffic management, network operations and disruption risk management including the formulation of Landslide Management Plans for the notorious Rest and Be Thankful. As well as managing the Winter Service aspects of the Scottish Ministers Operating Company Contracts, Iain leads on innovation and research in and is currently Vice-chair of the National Winter Service Research Group (NWSRG).
