Recognition where it matters

The Highways Awards are respected across the UK highways industry, attracting entries from local authorities, national bodies, contractors, consultants and suppliers. Being shortlisted or winning places your work in front of senior decision-makers, clients and peers who understand the complexity and value of what you deliver.

Differentiate your organisation

In a competitive marketplace, awards success helps you stand out. An entry gives you a powerful way to demonstrate quality, innovation and results. Simply put: shortlisted and winning projects help prove why your organisation should be trusted with future work.

Motivate your team

The key to every successful team is commitment. Entering the Highways Awards is a tangible way to recognise their hard work, boost morale and reinforce a culture of excellence. Even being shortlisted can have a lasting positive impact on recruitment, retention and internal pride.

Showcase innovation and best practice

The awards celebrate the ideas, technologies and approaches that are improving safety, sustainability, efficiency and user experience across the network. By entering, you contribute to sharing best practice across the sector and help raise standards for everyone.

Build credibility with stakeholders

For public and private sector organisations alike, awards recognition provides independent validation of outcomes, value for money and social impact. This is increasingly important when engaging with funders, partners, elected members and the public.

  • Supporting and judging the Highways Awards is a privilege that reflects the RSMA’s commitment to raising standards and awareness across our sector. It’s an opportunity to recognise the innovation and dedication that keep our road networks safe and efficient for everyone. Being involved allows us to celebrate excellence, share knowledge, and champion the people and organisations who are driving our industry forward

    Rob Shearing - CEO RSMA
  • It’s incredible to see just how many submissions there are and I think it’s a testament to the quality of the awards ceremony that people really want to be part of this and want to celebrate success in our sector.

Katharine Kelly - Head Judge Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE)
  • I’m genuinely honoured to be judging the Health, Wellbeing and Inclusion award again. This industry asks a huge amount of its people, often in ways that go unseen, and recognising wellbeing as essential really matters. I’m looking forward to being part of the awards night again - a brilliant celebration of people, pride and progress across the sector.
